Enjoy a fun filled day at the Historic Brown Farm Pioneer Day. There will be activities and exciting events for all ages.

Located 1.5 Miles east of Central City, Iowa this historic farm is the legacy of Lloyd Brown, who was a lifelong collector of antiques and farm machinery. His final wish was that his 84 acre farmstead and vast collections become the property of the Central City Historical Society.

The Historical Society has preserved and built on Lloyd’s legacy. Each year the Historic Brown Farm hosts a Pioneer Day to give children of all ages the chance to participate in our rich eastern Iowa heritage.

Lloyd Brown’s original museum has been preserved and updated. It’s filled with antiques and memorabilia from the 19th and 20th century. There are also displays of antique farm equipment and live farming demonstrations.

The Pioneer Day runs from 10:00AM to 5:00PM. Admission is $5.00, with children 12 years and under admitted free. Food and refreshments are available.

All proceeds are used by the Central City Historical Society to maintain and upgrade the Historic Brown Farm
